Playing Inner Varnika means the world to me. The festival has been a huge influence on me since I first went in 2013 and has continued to be every year since. Playing outdoors and in the bush has always been a dream of mine. Most of my formative dance music experiences have been outdoors. I’ve thought for years about playing under the dustbowl in the light of the full moon. There’s no context I’d rather play in, anywhere in the world. On Friday night at Inner Varnika I hope I can help you experience what I have gone through - the transformative power of sound and music to connect you with land and Country, to reflect on one’s responsibility to and inseparability from all things.
Feels surreal to be coming back Sunday for one day 2 night sensation after almost two years of no coolroomtv ... Feel grateful to have so much community support for two vital orgs and one vital cause - 100% of ticket proceeds going to supporting Wulumbarra Sovereign Burning Initiative and wuurnofkanak Land Back 🖤 Know its a precarious time with COVID - those who are able, please try and get a PCR test or rapid antigen before coming. Please don't come if you have any symptoms and we are happy to refund you if needed if you have symptoms last minute. Consider the safety of immunocomp or otherwise vulnerable people around you in your day to day life by perhaps masking at the club, getting tested and isolating from close vulnerable folx after the event. Grateful to this immense lineup of artists, vibepositive.bb for the beautiful art and miscellania_ for also supporting us on this one Tickets are moving quick but there's some left, link in bio 🌞

𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢2.𝙛𝙢 ~ a new digital space for reflection and sharing. Who doesn't miss the ~old~ internet? I'm always reminiscing about the time when my web experience wasn't just refreshing the same three apps to look at screenshots from the other apps. I miss discovering websites, I miss small communities, I miss being whoever I wanted to be online. I miss chatting and learning about music on small forums, I miss specificity and discovering websites formats that were novel and clever. http://room2.fm is a website by Patrick Hase and myself inspired by early internet experiences, by the symbiotic relationship between listener and dj, the beauty of ‘live’-ness, the give and take of shared spaces. It's shaped by questions like, "𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑠 𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑘 𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠, 𝑟𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑒𝑠𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔?" and "𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑡𝑜-𝑏𝑒-𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟, 𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡?" The site will operate in two phases. A first phase of gathering and reflection, where for the next 9 days visitors will be presented with a different track (generously contributed from falteringthread, Tourist Kid, r_rebeiro, hextape.wav, tahl_palm, fiafiell, lllllllllllalllllllllll, Acopia [morgherita, purientx, liluzu_] & more), a visual by Patrick, and a prompt to respond to. These will all change daily. The website will transform for the second stage, live on the night of Friday 5th March, with elements of the first phase placed alongside live-streamed (audio) DJ sets from myself, falteringthread, and corin.ileto I would love to read and see the thoughts and feelings the site provokes in you. It's live now (desktop browsers only), click the link in bio or navigate straight to room2.fm to dive in :') It's part of a broader exhibition (curated by vidyarrrr) and supported by City of Darebin featuring some great work from friends and humans I admire like washedup_retailsuperstar mochamas_ evelynaraluen elijah____money and more) - check it out on the darebin arts website
