Repost from art.etal: ๐ฟ This week Art et al. were lucky enough to catch up with recent collaborators, APAโs Georgia Szmerling and Melbourne artist Emily Ferretti at APAโs Collingwood Yards gallery. For Art et al, Emily (represented by Sophie Gannon Gallery) undertook a digital residency with UK artist Sandra Lott from Submit to Love Studios, to create thematic collections of experimental work. Georgia and Holly Stephenson (UK) created new ceramic sculptures that responded to their natural environment. Georgia and Emily, who met for the first time last week, are creating large-scale murals for the upcoming PLANT/LIFE exhibition curated by Kristy Grant. They have been talking about art and Art et al. and we canโt wait to see their finished works. ๐ emilyferretti sophiegannongallery submittolovestudios holly__stevenson kirstyalexandergrant collingwood_yards #ArtEtAl #Collaboration #ContemporaryArtists #APA #ArtsProjectAustralia #PlantLife

But did you know that every single object our artists make needs to be fired twice? Or that kilns lose their power over time? Well, our kiln has been a workhorse for the last 15 years but as you can see, itโs in trouble. So we are calling on you, fans of APA, to please consider donating to help us buy a new kiln. With a new kiln, there is no limit to what our artists can achieve โ they have the ideas, commitment and skills required to make great sculptures if we invest in the right equipment. Please visit the link in our bio to make a tax deductible donation. Every donation big or small will make a huge difference to the quality of the work our artists can create. Thank you and we look forward to sharing more wonderful ceramics with you in years to come ๐ #APA #ArtsProjectAustralia #Ceramics #PleaseDonate #WeNeedANewKiln
